– UK, Solihull – Paragon Banking Group PLC (LON: PAG) today announced the appointment of Peter Hill to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective immediately.
“We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Board. His retail banking experience as a CEO of a large building society, together with his knowledge of the financial services sector more generally will be invaluable in his role, in due course, as Chairman of Paragon’s Risk Committee,” said Board Chair, Fiona Clutterbuck.
Peter joins the Risk and Compliance Committee and will become its Chair with effect from 31 December 2020 to allow for a managed and orderly transition from the current Chair, Finlay Williamson, who will step down from the Board on 31 December 2020.
Finlay will also be stepping down at the same time from the Board of Paragon Bank PLC.

Peter Hill was previously CEO of Leeds Building Society from 2011 until his retirement in 2019. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Risk Committee for Pure Retirement Limited and is the Chairman of Mortgage Brain.
Peter brings with him a wealth of experience in Financial Services and a proven track record in risk oversight, gained during his executive and non-executive career.
