– UK, London – JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc (LON: JMG) today announced the appointment of Alison Jefferis to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1st January 2024.
About Alison Jefferis
Alison Jefferis has direct and relevant experience within the investment sector, particularly in marketing, communication, and investor relations, including digital engagement covering traditional and alternative asset classes, listed and non-listed structures, and retail, intermediary, and institutional investors.
Ms Jefferis most recently held the Head of Corporate Affairs role at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a global asset manager, from 2015 to 2022. During her twelve-year career at Columbia Threadneedle (and its predecessor Threadneedle Investments), she was responsible for the management of the company’s reputation and all its corporate affairs activities in EMEA and APAC. She was instrumental in the development of its digital presence and capabilities, including via the website, social media, online advertising, and content partnerships. She has also held various roles at Macquarie Group including head of Corporate Communications, EMEA, and Head of Brand and Corporate Marketing.
Ms Jefferis holds a BA in Communication from the University of Technology, Sydney, and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Ms Jefferis is currently a Trustee of Clean Break Theatre Company and a member of the Development Committee at The National Gallery.
