IMI announces Jamie Pike to join its Board of Directors as Chair-designate

– UK, Birmingham –  IMI plc (LON: IMI) today announced the appointment of Jamie Pike to its Board of Directors as Chair-designate, to succeed Lord Smith of Kelvin with effect from 1 January 2025.

“We are delighted that Jamie is joining the Board and taking on the role of Chair next year. He brings a wealth of listed board experience and a deep understanding of engineering. I am very much looking forward to working with him,” said CEO Roy Twite.

Jamie Pike will also join the Nomination Committee as Chair.

About

Jamie Pike joined Burmah Castrol in 1991 and was Chief Executive of Burmah Castrol Chemicals before leading the buy-out of Foseco in 2001 and its subsequent flotation in 2005. Before joining Burmah, he was a partner at Bain & Company. He was previously Chair of Cobham plc and RPC Group plc. Jamie Pike holds the positions of Chair of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc and Chair of XP Power Limited. He will be standing down from that position in 2024 following the expiry of his nine years as a director.

Jamie Pike was educated at Oxford, holds an MBA from INSEAD, and is a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
