Datatec announces Mfundiso Njeke to its Board as upcoming Independent Non-Executive Director

– SOUTH AFRICA, Johannesburg – Datatec Limited (JSE/AIM: DTC), the international Information and Communications Technology company, announces that Mfundiso Johnson Ntabankulu Njeke will join the Board as Independent Non-executive Director on 1 September 2016 whilst Professor Wiseman Nkuhlu will retire as an Independent Non-executive Director at the AGM on 9 September 2016 after ten years of service.

Mr Njeke brings a wealth of experience, having served in a non-executive capacity on a number of prominent boards including MTN and MMI. A chartered accountant and past Chairman of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, he will also serve as a member of Datatec’s Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee and as Chairman of its Social and Ethics Committee.

Stephen Davidson, Chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Johnson. The wealth of experience gathered from his career to date will certainly add to the current board and our corporate governance structures.
