Cranswick announces upcoming appointments of Yetunde Hofmann as Independent Director and Chris Aldersley as Executive Director

– UK, Kingston upon Hull –  Cranswick plc (LON: CWK), a leading UK food producer, today announced the appointments to its Board of Yetunde Hofmann as an Independent Non-Executive Director and of Chris Aldersley as an Executive Director, both with effect from 1 August 2022.

She has an established track record of mentoring and developing performance, talent and leadership strategies across a range of organisations, which will be invaluable to Cranswick.” said Board Chairman, Tim Smith.

He added: “Chris’s role at Cranswick has grown with the rapid development of the Group and he has been central to facing the challenges presented in recent times by Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic. Chris helps deliver our Second Nature sustainability strategy. I am pleased his contribution is recognized with his appointment to the Board.”.

Yetunde Hofmann will also join the Audit, Remuneration, Nomination, and ESG committees, while Chris Aldersley will join the ESG committee.

Chris joined Cranswick in 1998 and since then has undertaken a variety of senior management roles, becoming the Group’s COO in 2015. Chris has responsibility for managing the operations at the Group’s four primary processing and sixteen added value facilities and also for its agricultural operations, which support the Group’s vertically integrated supply chain strategy.

The appointment of Chris to the Board recognizes his contribution to the Group and the central importance of his role going forward as a member of the Board to the delivery of the Group’s long-term strategy.
