– UK, Kingston upon Hull – Cranswick plc (LON: CWK) today announced the appointment of Rachel Howarth to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 30 April 2024.

This complements the Board, enhances its independence and provides appropriate succession planning for our Remuneration Committee.” said Board Chairman, Tim Smith CBE.
About Rachel Howarth
Rachel Howarth is the Group People Officer at Whitbread plc, which is the owner of Premier Inn, the UK’s biggest hotel brand employing over 39,000 people in over 1,700 Premier Inn hotels and restaurants across the UK. She was previously the Group HR Director with SSP Group PLC, before which she spent sixteen years with Tesco Plc, in operational and human resource capacities and has also served as an officer in the Royal Air Force, specializing in logistics and supply chain.
On appointment, Rachel Howarth will become a member of the Remuneration, Nomination, and ESG committees. It is intended that Rachel will succeed Liz Barber as Chair of the Remuneration Committee in August, following the conclusion of the scheduled review of the Company’s Directors’ Remuneration Policy.
