Costain Group announces Steve Mogford and Amanda Fisher to join its Board as Independent Directors

– UK, Maidenhead –  Costain Group PLC (LON: COST) today announced the appointments of Steve Mogford and Amanda Fisher to its Board as independent non-executive directors, respectively on 1 November 2023 and 1 December 2023.

“The Board is delighted to welcome Steve and Amanda to Costain. Both bring a wealth of experience in key markets, including energy, water, highways, and rail. They have driven improved profitability and increased market share, and I look forward to working with them to support the growth we expect in Costain’s operating profit and margins,” said Board Chair, Kate Rock.

Steve Mogford and Amanda Fisher will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.

The company also announced that Jacqueline de Rojas and Neil Crockett will step down from the Board on 31 October 2023.

About Steve Mogford

Steve Mogford is an experienced executive and non-executive director with extensive expertise in water, defense, and complex joint ventures. Steve was CEO of United Utilities Group PLC from 2011 until March 2023 and led significant growth during that period. During 30 years at BAE Systems plc, he held various senior positions before being appointed COO and a member of the board. Steve Mogford is the Senior Independent Director of QinetiQ Group plc and was previously the Senior Independent Director of G4S plc.

About Amanda Fisher

Amanda Fisher was CEO of Amey, the engineering and infrastructure company, from 2019 until 2022. With considerable expertise in transportation, infrastructure, and defense, Amanda Fisher restructured the business, redefining the strategy and improving contract risk and performance, leading to its successful sale in 2022. Prior to Amey, she held two managing director positions at Balfour Beatty plc, improving their market share in key sectors, and held a senior management position at the construction firm, Alfred McAlpine. Amanda is an independent external Governor of the University of Plymouth.
