Vietnam Infrastructure appointed Paul Garnett to the Board of Directors

– UK, London / VIETNAM – Vietnam Infrastructure Limited (“VNI”) today announces that Mr. Paul Garnett has been appointed to the Company’s Board, effective 1 November 2014. The appointment of Mr. Garnett to the Board will bring the total number of VNI Board members to five.

Commenting on the appointment, VNI Chairman, Mr. Rupert Carington said “We have decided to expand the current Board in light of the proposed restructuring and new strategy of the Company being put to shareholders at an EGM on 24 November 2014. We believe Mr. Garnett will give valuable advice to the Company going forward.”

 About Paul Garnett

Mr. Garnett began his career in 1992 and has over 20 years’ experience in closed-ended funds. In 2010 he helped found London-based Ironsides Partners UK LLP, an affiliate of Ironsides Partners LLC (“Ironsides”), where he is currently a portfolio manager.

Funds managed by Ironsides have an aggregate economic interest in approximately 24.0 percent of the Company’s issued share capital. By virtue of his relationship with Ironsides Mr. Garnett is not regarded as an independent director.

Mr. Garnett will stand for re-election at the Company’s first annual general meeting which will be held on 24 November 2014.
