– UK, Guildford – The Gym Group plc (LON: GYM), the nationwide operator of 186 low-cost gyms, today announced that independent non-executive director Emma Woods will be appointed to the role of Senior Independent Director with effect from the date of the next AGM, succeeding Paul Gilbert who will retire at the AGM in May
In addition the company also announced changes to roles and responsibilities of certain of our non-Executive Directors that will take place with effect from the next AGM:
- David Kelly will be appointed chair of the Audit & Risk Committee;
- Emma Woods will be appointed chair of the Remuneration Committee;
- Rio Ferdinand will join the Remuneration Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Health & Safety and Wellbeing Committee;
- Wais Shaifta will join the Audit & Risk Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Health & Safety and Wellbeing Committee.
