Tesco announces Caroline Silver to join its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Welwyn Garden City –  Tesco PLC (LON: TSCO) today announced the appointment of Caroline Silver to its Board as a Non-executive Director, effective from 1 October 2022.

“I’m delighted Caroline will be joining the Board as a Non-executive Director. Her wealth of experience across a number of commercial, financial and governance roles, together with her investment banking and international experience, will undoubtedly bring additional valuable knowledge and perspective to the Board.” said Board Chairman, John Allan.

Caroline Silver will also join the Audit Committee.

About Caroline Silver

Caroline Silver is currently Chair of PZ Cussons PLC, a non-executive director of BUPA and The Intercontinental Exchange, Inc (and Chair of ICE Clear Europe), a member of the International Advisory Board of Adobe Inc., an advisory partner at Moelis & Company, and a member of the V&A Foundation. Previously she was a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum, a non-executive director of Meggitt PLC and M&G PLC, and on the Board of the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Caroline Silver spent over 30 years in the investment banking sector and was most recently a partner and managing director at Moelis & Company. Previously she held senior corporate finance and M&A positions at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
