– UK, London – Synthomer plc (LON: SYNT), today announced the appointment of Roberto Gualdoni to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, effective immediately, replacing Just Jansz, who will be stepping down from the Board at the end of August 2021.

About Roberto Gualdoni
Roberto has considerable chemicals sector experience following more than 25 years at BASF. During that time, he held senior operational roles covering international sales, marketing, procurement, and M&A and served on several joint venture Boards. His final role at BASF was as President of its Styrenics business, which was carved out as part of a joint venture as Styrolution, and which Roberto led as Chief Executive for three years until 2014.
Roberto is currently Chair of CABB Group, a private specialty chemicals manufacturer, and a member of the Board of Directors of Aerogel Corporation, a private bio-pharma cold-chain services provider. Previously, he has served on the Boards of SABIC, Outokumpu Oyj, and Carmeuse.
