SIG announces Kath Durrant to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Sheffield –  SIG plc (LON: SHI), a leading supplier of specialist building solutions to trade customers across Europe, today announced the appointment of Kath Durrant to its Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee, effective on 1 January 2021.

“We are delighted that Kath will be joining SIG’s Board. She is an experienced Chair of Remuneration and has significant international and industry knowledge gained from her roles at Ferguson and CRH. Kath also has extensive experience of working in businesses undergoing transformation which will be invaluable as we seek to restructure our UK operations.” said Board Chairman, Andrew Allner. 

Kath will replace Kate Allum who will be stepping down as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee with effect from 31 December 2020.

About Kath Durrant

Kath is currently Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Calisen plc, a Non-Executive Director at Vesuvius plc (and will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee from its 2021 AGM) and is an adviser to InnovationRCA. She previously served as a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Renishaw plc from 2015 to 2018.

Kath has more than 30 years’ Human Resources experience, with a strong operational and strategic track record, gained at several large global industrial and pharmaceutical companies. As well as working at GlaxoSmithKline plc and AstraZeneca plc she served as the Group Human Resources Director at Rolls-Royce plc and Ferguson plc and until 2019 was Chief HR Officer at CRH plc.
