Polar Capital Technology Trust announces Board member Catherine Cripps as next Chair of the Board of Directors

– UK, London –  Polar Capital Technology Trust PLC (LON: PCT) today announced the appointment of Catherine Cripps as Chair of the Board of Directors, subject to her election by shareholders at AGM on 8 September 2022.

About Catherine Cripps

Catherine Cripps joined the Board of PCTT on 6 September 2021. She has considerable experience in the investment management sector. Catherine is currently a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank and Maniyar Capital. She also acts as Chair of the Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank Board Risk Committees and is a member of the Audit Committees. She has previously been a trustee and chair of the investment committee for the Nuclear Liabilities Fund, and a non-executive director of CQS Management and of Merian Global Investors. In her executive career she was an investment director at GAM where she was head of research for the multi-Manager team and has held various positions in equity derivatives trading, risk management and product control, including some years in Asia. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, holds an MA in Physics from Oxford and pursued postgraduate research in Quantum Information at Imperial College.

Catherine therefore brings to our experienced Board a deep understanding of investment management and financial markets more generally, from both an investor’s perspective and an operational, risk and control perspective.
