On the Beach Group announces Veronica Sharma to join its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Cheadle –  On the Beach Group plc (LON: OTB), a leading UK online retailer for beach holidays, today announced the appointment of Veronica Sharma to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1 September 2023.

“We are delighted to welcome Veronica to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director. Her people and organisational strategy capabilities will be complementary to the composition of the Board, and her experience working within a number of leading technology-enabled organisations will be beneficial as we continue to invest and innovate,” said Board Chairman, Richard Pennycook.

Veronica Sharma will also join the Audit, Remuneration, and Nomination Committees.

Most recently Veronica Sharma was Group CPO at online car retailer Cazoo Group Ltd (NYSE: CZOO), where she led its people and engagement strategy as the company grew from a UK-only organization into a European business across five markets. Before this, she founded a talent advisory and organizational change consultancy for private equity, venture capital, and other growth-focused organizations, specializing in technology businesses. Veronica was also Group CPO at Photobox & Moonpig Group plc where she led a large-scale cultural transformation across Europe and has also worked in a variety of roles at organizations including eBay, Laing O’Rourke, and BAA Heathrow Terminal 5.
