Tanya Ashton is the head of sustainability at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Global Sourcing, Europe, and a board member of The Sustainability Consortium, a global not-for-profit organization committed to increasing sustainability in consumer products. Tanya has 18 years of experience working in ESG roles, having held senior positions at Silver Spoon British Sugar plc, part of Associated British Foods, before joining WBA.
Tanya’s roles in the food, beauty, and healthcare sectors have included procurement of ingredients and commodities including palm oil, and she has always been committed to sustainable sourcing. This has been recognized through her frequently being invited to speak at sustainability events and awards for her continued contribution, most recently being recognized as an Exemplar in The Manufacturers Top 100 alumni 2021.
