– UK, London – Mercantile Investment Trust plc (LON: MRC) announced the appointment of current Senior Independent Director Rachel Beagles as Chair of the Board of Directors, to succeed Gordon Lennox who will be retiring from the Board at the AGM in 2025.
Graham Kitchen will assume at that time the role of Senior Independent Director.
About Rachel Beagles
Rachel Beagles has over 15 years of experience in the investment company sector. She served on the Board of the Association of Investment Companies for six years, of which three were served as Chair.
Rachel Beagles was a managing director and co-head of the pan-European bank’s equity bank’srch and sales team at Deutsche Bank’s corporate and investment banking division. Since 2003, she has worked as a non-executive director for a range of businesses including those in the investment company, asset management, and fintech, sectors. Ms. Beagles is currently a non-executive director of Alliance Witan plc.
