– UK, Edinburgh – Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc (LON: MNP) today announced the appointment of current non-executive director, Christopher Metcalfe as Chair of the Board of Directors, effective on 1 June 2023, to succeed Gillian Watson who will be retiring at the AGM on that date.
Christopher Metcalfe has been a non-executive director of the Company since September 2019 and is the current senior independent non-executive director of JPMorgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc and a non-executive director of abrdn Smaller Companies Income Trust plc. He has extensive global equity fund management and investment trust experience.
