LGI Homes appoints Maria Sharpe to its Board as Independent Director

– USA, TX –  LGI Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGIH) today announced the appointment of Maria Sharpe to its Board as a new independent director.

About Maria Renna Sharpe

Ms. Sharpe brings more than 37 years of legal, human resources, and accounting expertise to LGI Homes. She is the Managing Principal of Sharpe Human Solutions, LLC, a human resource consulting and commercial real estate investment company, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: LW) where she serves as Chair of the Compensation and Human Capital Committee.

Ms. Sharpe served as SVP, Global Human Capital Management, Services & Operations at PepsiCo, Inc. from 2014 to 2016, as CHRO, PepsiCo Europe from 2010 to 2014, and as SVP, Compensation, Benefits & Human Resource Systems from 2008 to 2010. From 2004 to 2008, Ms. Sharpe served as CHRO & Corporate Secretary of UST Inc. Before that, Ms. Sharpe held various, senior human resources and legal positions at PepsiCo, Inc., including VP, Benefits from 2002 to 2004, VP, Compensation from 1999 to 2002 and VP, Human Resources Counsel from 1995 to 1999.

Ms. Sharpe earned her JD from Boston University School of Law and graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting from Syracuse University.
