Kin and Carta announces Maria Gordian to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Kin and Carta plc (LON: KCT), the global digital transformation consultancy, today announced the appointment of Maria Gordian to its Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st November 2021.

“Maria’s extensive business experience which includes executive leadership at Bain, coupled with her academic and clinical background in medicine makes her a unique and rare executive, with a diverse perspective on how to scale and enhance businesses across the globe. Her appointment comes as Kin + Carta continues to seek B Corp Certification for the whole business, following the certification for the Americas division achieved in January and Europe achieved in September. We are delighted to welcome Maria to the Kin + Carta Board and I look forward to working closely with her.” said Board Chairman, John Kerr. 

About Maria Gordian

Maria is a highly experienced professional services executive with more than 25 years of management consulting and business leadership experience. She is currently a leader in Bain & Company’s DEI practice and serves as head of its global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. Recently, she has been leading Bain’s involvement in OneTen, a cross-industry coalition to connect employers with talent partners, leading non-profits and other skill-credentialing organizations that support the development of Black talent. Additionally, she is a partner in Bain’s Healthcare practice, where she advises clients on creating growth strategies, identifying M&A opportunities, and leading geographic expansion efforts across a range of healthcare sectors, including hospitals, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical device companies. Before her time at Bain, she worked at another global consulting firm, where she was a partner and leader in its Pharmaceutical and Medical Product practice and helped build the firm’s global Research & Development group.

Her previous experience also includes the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a Radiology Fellow and Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar, as well as Harvard Medical School where she was a Radiology Resident.

Maria completed her BA at Harvard University, before achieving her MD at Tufts University School of Medicine, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
