– UK, London – EVRAZ plc (LON: EVR) today announced the appointment of Maria Gordon to its Вoard as an Independent Non-executive Director with effect from 1 February 2022.
“I’m pleased to welcome Ms. Gordon to our Board. She will not only enhance our expertise in finance and capital markets, but also assist our current independent non-executive team with her wide knowledge of Russian markets and industry,” said Board Chairman, Alexander Abramov, Chairman.
Ms. Gordon will also join the Audit Committee and Sustainability Committee.
The company also announced that CEO Aleksey Ivanov will be appointed an Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2022.
About Maria Gordon
Maria Gordon has over two-decade-long experience in equity and debt capital markets. She was EVP and EME Strategy at PIMCO from 2010 to 2014. Before that, from 1998 to 2010 she had been a Managing Director, Head of Emerging Markets Strategy at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Her current board appointments include NED positions at Detsky Mir, Polyus, TCS Group Holding PLC, Moscow Stock Exchange, and Alrosa.
Ms. Gordon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
