– UK, London – Johnson Matthey PLC (LON: JMAT) today announced the appointment of Barbara Jeremiah to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st July 2023.
Barbara will become the Senior Independent Director, succeeding John O’Higgins with effect from the end of AGM.
About Barbara Jeremiah
Barbara Jeremia brings strong leadership, a deep understanding of metals, and extensive experience in North American markets. She is Chair of The Weir Group PLC and spent over 30 years at Alcoa Inc, a global aluminum practicing producer where she held a number of roles. Most recently, she was EVP of Corporate Development, a position she held for ten years before her retirement in 2009, responsible for leading Alcoa’s global merger, acquisition, divestiture, and integration activities. Prior to this, Barbara was a practicing lawyer in Alcoa’s legal team.
