James Fisher and Sons announces Jean Vernet to join as CEO

– UK, Barrow-in-Furness –  James Fisher and Sons plc (LON: FSJ), the UK’s leading marine services company, today announced the appointment of Jean Vernet as CEO, effective on 5 September 2022 to replace Eoghan O’Lionaird who will step down from the Board and as CEO

About Jean Vernet

Jean Vernet has considerable experience working in the offshore energy sector in both the UK and around the world. Most recently, Jean was CEO of Smiths Group’s largest division, John Crane, where he drove a highly effective growth strategy in a business that operates in over 50 countries. He has an engineering degree and spent a decade in various financial and market-facing roles with the energy services business, Schlumberger. His experience also includes five years as CFO of Expro, the offshore energy services provider, during which he played a key role in its successful turnaround.
