Hurricane Energy welcomes Philip Wolfe to its Board as Senior Independent Director

– UK, Godalming –  Hurricane Energy plc (LON: HUR), the UK-based oil and gas company, today announced the appointment of Philip Wolfe to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

“Philip’s distinguished career in the industry brings highly relevant financial, strategic and management experience significantly enhancing the board’s capabilities. These skills will be invaluable as Hurricane progresses into the future and I am delighted to welcome Philip to the Company.” said CEO, Antony Maris.

He will chair the Audit and Risk Committee and serve as Senior Independent Director.

About Philip Wolfe

Mr Wolfe has 30 years’ experience within the energy and utilities industry as an executive, adviser, and corporate financier. Mr. Wolfe has served as CFO of various private and listed oil and gas companies, including Phoenix Global Resources plc, an AIM-quoted oil and gas exploration, and production company focused on Argentina.

Mr. Wolfe’s career includes 23 years in investment banking, including as Managing Director, Head of Oil and Gas, EMEA at UBS Investment Bank, and Global Head of Oil and Gas at HSBC. Mr. Wolfe holds a BSc Honours degree in Economics from the University of Bristol.
