– UK, London – Home REIT plc (LON: HOME) today announced the appointment of Rod Day to its Board as Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 7th June 2024.
“Rod joins the board with an impressive track record having led a number of businesses through highly complex situations. I believe the Company will benefit from his deep insight and experience in finance in particular as we continue to progress the stabilisation strategy and audit process,”said Board chair, Michael O’Donnell.
Rod Day will also join the Audit Committee, Management Engagement Committee, and Nomination Committee and will later Chair the Audit Committee.
About Rod Day
Rod Day has over 30 years of business experience having held senior roles in strategy and finance for several several national organizations. In an executive capacity his career highlights have included Iron Mountain Inc (2008-2016), where he latterly acted as Global CFO leading strategic M&A and was instrumental in its conversion to a REIT; AOL Europe (2001-2008), where he acted as CFO in his final two years at the business, and at Kingfisher PLC in various strategy and business planning roles (1994-2001).
Since 2017 Rod Day has undertaken a series of business advisory and board roles. He has been interim CFO and Board member at several companies, including RWS, a UK listed company; Cobham Group, the UK’s largest aerospace and defense compdefenseee he was finance lead on various divestitures; and V Ships, a world leadingworldleading world-leading plies has also acted as a senior adviser to Cerberus Capital. Rod is a qualified accountant with an MBA from London Business School.
