– UK, Hemel Hempstead – Hollywood Bowl Group plc (LON: BOWL), the UK’s largest ten-pin bowling operator, today announced the appointment of Julia Porter to its Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 September 2022.
“We are delighted to welcome Julia as a Non-Executive Director. Her background and experience in marketing and customer data will be of significant benefit to the Board.” said Board Chairman, Peter Boddy.
Julia Porter will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
About Julia Porter
Julia Porter is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Safestyle UK plc, and a Director and member of the Board of Trustees of Worldwide Cancer Research. Julia also provides advice to leadership teams across public, not-for-profit, and start-up businesses covering CRM, data strategy, business development, and GDPR.
In her executive career, Julia Porter was Director of Consumer Revenues for Guardian News & Media from 2012 to 2016, where she was responsible for delivering eCommerce and subscriptions and the development of CRM and customer data strategies. Julia held several senior marketing roles at ITV plc from 2006 to 2011 including Interim Group Marketing & Research Director. Julia holds an MBA from London Business School.
