– UK, London – HgCapital Trust plc (LON: HGT) today announced the appointment of Helena Coles to its Board of Directors effective on 21 November 2023.

Helena Coles will also join the Audit, Valuation & Risk Committee, the Nomination Committee, and the Management Engagement Committee.
About Helena Coles
Helena Coles has over 20 years of investment experience, has considerable expertise in ESG, gained through the perspectives of an asset owner, asset manager, as well as UK regulator, and co-founded and built a successful fund management firm with a peak AUM of over US$10bn.
Helena Coles is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been an investor in emerging markets and Asian equity for over 20 years. Throughout her career, she gained an extensive understanding of the financial markets and brings a wealth of experience in portfolio and asset management, asset allocation, and the investment process. In her previous roles, Helena Coles has also focused on ESG at Fidelity International and banking supervision at the Bank of England.
Helena Coles currently serves as an Independent Director of Shaftesbury Capital plc and served on the Board of Shaftesbury plc since 2021 until its merger with Capital & Counties Properties Plc in March 2023. She is also a Non-Executive Director of JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust Plc and a Non-Executive Director of Schroder Japan Trust Plc. She is the Independent Investment Advisor to the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.
Helena Coles holds a BA Hons in Politics and Economics from Durham University.
