Headlam Group announces Stephen Bird to its Board as upcoming Non-Executive Director

– UK, Birmingham –  Headlam Group PLC (LON: HEAD), Europe’s leading floorcoverings distributor, today announced the appointment of Stephen Bird to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 13 September 2021.

About Stephen Bird

Stephen is Group Chief Executive of The Vitec Group plc (LON: VTC), the international provider of premium branded hardware products and software solutions to the growing content creation market, having held the position since 2009. He is also a Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Dialight plc (LON: DIA), the global leader in sustainable LED lighting for industrial applications.

Stephen has extensive executive experience developing successful, customer-led growth strategies to help businesses grow and adapt to changing markets, including leading transformational digitalisation and customer service programmes. Prior to joining The Vitec Group plc, Stephen was Managing Director of Weir Oil & Gas, part of Weir Group plc, and has held senior roles at Danaher Corporation, Black & Decker, Unipart Group, Hepworth plc and Technicolor Group. Stephen has an MA from St. John’s College, Cambridge.
