Halma announces Sharmila Nebhrajani to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Amersham –  Halma PLC (LON: HLMA), the FTSE 100 global group of life-saving technology companies, today announced the appointment of Sharmila Nebhrajani OBE to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective 1 December 2021.

“I am delighted that Sharmila has agreed to join the Halma Board. Her diverse experience, particularly in the health and medical sector, will undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective and valuable insights to the Board.” said Board Chair, Dame Louise Makin.

Sharmila will also join the Audit, Remuneration, and Nomination Committees.

About Sharmila Nebhrajani

Sharmila Nebhrajani brings a wealth of experience gained across a variety of roles – spanning both the public and private/NGO sectors – with a particularly strong background in sustainability and health. She is currently a non-executive director at ITV plc and Severn Trent plc, and Chair of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

Sharmila Nebhrajani was Chief Executive of Wilton Park (part of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office), responsible for convening international policy dialogue with governments, NGOs, policymakers, and academics on topics such as global health and climate risk. Previously, she worked for the Medical Research Council, Association of Medical Research Charities, and NHS Sussex. In her earlier career, she held senior positions within the BBC, Cable & Wireless plc, and PwC.
