– UK, London – Greencoat UK Wind PLC (LON: UKW) announced the appointment of Taraneh Azad to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1 February 2025.
“We welcome Taraneh to the Board. Her deep experience in global energy markets and strategic insight into sustainability and energy transition complement the skillset of our current Board.” said Board chair, Lucinda Riches.
Taraneh Azad will also join the Audit, Management Engagement, and Nominations Committees.
About Taraneh Azad
Her experience spans 25 years in finance, commercial, and business development. Taraneh Azad has held senior positions at financial institutions Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Hartree Partners, as well as at TXU Europe in the energy space, in addition to her early career in economic development. She is currently a Partner and CIO at Systemiq, where she advises companies across Europe and the Middle East on sustainability and energy transition.
