– UK, Cowley – Galliford Try (LON: GFRD), one of the UK’s leading construction groups, today announced the appointment of Michael Topham to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 June 2023.
“I am delighted to welcome Michael to Galliford Try as a Non-executive Director. Michael’s appointment will further strengthen our independence and the experience of the Board. The Board looks forward to working with Michael,” said Board Chair, Alison Wood.
Michael will also join the audit, remuneration, and nomination committees.

Michael is the CEO of a leading UK sustainable waste management company, Biffa. He joined Biffa in 2010, was appointed CFO in 2013, and became CEO in 2018. In 2020 Michael oversaw the launch of Biffa’s first sustainability strategy. Michael is a Chartered Accountant and Director of the Environmental Services Association.
