– UK, London – Funding Circle Holdings plc (LON: FCH), the UK’s leading SME finance platform, announced the appointment of Maeve Byrne to its Board as an independent non-executive director effective from 2 June 2025, bringing over 30 years’ experience within financial Services.

Maeve Byrne will also join the Audit Committee as Chair-designate.
About Maeve Byrne
Maeve Byrne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in Ireland. Maeve Byrne started her accountancy career at KPMG, becoming a Partner in 2002. In 2010, she was seconded to Royal Bank of Scotland where she was CFO of the Non-Core division. She held several executive roles during 2014 – 2017 in the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, including roles in Capital Resolution Group and Williams and Glynn.
Maeve Byrne is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at both LendInvest Plc and M-Kopa Holdings Limited. She was previously a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Alpha Financial Markets Consulting plc from 2022 to 2024.
