Ethic, A Wealth Bank appoints Bill Buccella to its Board of Directors as CEO

– USA, MA –  Ethic, A Wealth Bank, today announced the appointment of Bill Buccella to its Board of Directors as President and CEO, effective January 26, 2022.

“Bill’s experience and success in this industry bring important perspective and insights to our already strong senior leadership team. As we continue to hone our products and services to address the needs of our clients and their advisors, Bill’s vision will be instrumental in expanding EWB’s position as a Boston-based, boutique private bank,” said Board Chairman. Jack Thompson.

About William Buccella

Buccella is an experienced private banking executive, most recently serving as President of US Markets at Wilmington Trust Company, where he led the company’s presence in nine markets along the East Coast of the United States. He has held executive-level positions at several financial institutions, managing several teams throughout this career. Buccella holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Management at Babson College and a BS from Boston College.

As CEO, Buccella will lead EWB’s management team in expanding the Bank’s high-touch, focused service model to address the banking and lending needs of New England’s mass affluent and high-net-worth residents. The lending products are specifically designed to address clients’ capital needs and include residential and commercial loans and, later this year, securities-backed lending, among other new products.

“I am very excited to be joining the EWB team. With a 10-year history of boutique private banking excellence, the Bank is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the dramatic rise in registered investment advisors and independent broker-dealers by partnering with them to deliver a full banking solution,” said Bill Buccella. “Private banking—in the true sense—among mass affluent and high-net-worth individuals is in high demand. By positioning ourselves as partners to their advisors, we can seize upon the many opportunities to broaden relationships.”

A resident of Norfolk, Massachusetts, Buccella is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Institute of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Fine Arts. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Franklin Performing Arts Company.
