– UK, London – Elementis plc (LON: ELM), the global specialty chemicals company, today announced the appointment of Heejae Chae to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 25 March 2024.

Heejae has had an outstanding career to date in both executive and non-executive roles and has demonstrated a track record of delivering significant value for shareholders. As such, he will have much to contribute at Elementis as we execute on our ambitious strategic goals.” said Board Chairman, John O’Higgins.
Heejae Chae will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
About Heejae Chae
Heejae Chae is also a Non-Executive Director of IP Group plc, where he chairs the remuneration committee, and the Executive Chairman of Sys Group plc. He served as Chief Executive of Scapa Group plc, a global supplier of products for healthcare and industrial markets, for twelve years, until its sale in 2021. Before joining Scapa Group plc, he held roles as Group Chief Executive of Volex Group plc and was the Group GM, Radio Frequency Worldwide, for Amphenol Corporation. Heejae Chae spent the early part of his career in finance at The Blackstone Group and Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, before moving into industry.
Heejae Chae holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA from Harvard University.
