– UK, London – Elementis plc (LON: ELM), a global specialty chemicals company, today announced the appointment of Maria Ciliberti to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 11 March 2024.
“I am delighted to welcome Maria to the Elementis Board. Maria has an excellent track record in senior management roles in the chemicals industry, both in the US and in Europe. She has had extensive operational experience as well as having covered strategic and marketing roles,” said Board Chairman, John O’Higgins.
Maria Ciliberti will join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
The company also announced the retirement of Steve Good from the Board at the AGM on 30 April 2024.

Maria Ciliberti is President for the USA and Canada businesses at Royal Vopak, a global infrastructure provider, and has spent over 35 years in the petrochemical industry, having previously worked at The Dow Chemical Company, Columbia Gas of Ohio, and Container Corporation of America in the USA. She has also spent over a decade in global leadership roles in Europe, with Celanese, GE Plastics (now part of SABIC), and Borealis.
Maria Ciliberti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both from The Ohio State University.
