– UK, Doncaster – DFS Furniture PLC (LON: DFS) today announced the appointment of Gill Barr to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1st March 2023.

Her experience in remuneration will bring valuable experience and insight to the Remuneration Committee. Ms. Barr will also join the Remuneration Committee as Chair and the Audit and Nomination Committee as a member.

Ms Barr is currently a Non-Executive Director of Wincanton PLC, N Brown Plc, and Paypoint Plc.
Ms. Barr was previously a Non-Executive Director of McCarthy & Stone from 2019 until it was delisted in 2021. Before that, she was a Non-Executive Director of Morgan Sindall Plc from 2004 to 2012. Her executive career focus has been on strategy and customer-centric business development. She was Group Marketing Director of The Co-operative Group from 2011 to 2014 and was previously Marketing Director of John Lewis. She spent seven years at Kingfisher Plc where she held a variety of senior marketing and business development roles.
