– UK, London – Deliveroo PLC (LON: ROO) today announced the appointment of Peter Jackson to its Board as an independent non-executive director, effective from 1 January 2022, and the appointment of Board member Karen Jones as Senior Independent Director, effective the same date.

Since IPO we have continued to strengthen the Board and will now benefit from Peter’s extensive experience in leading consumer businesses with international reach, as well as in the technology and digital consumer sectors, key strategic areas for our business.” said Board Chair, Claudia Arney.
Peter Jackson will also join the Nomination Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee, while Karen Jones will join the Nomination Committee and will step down from the Audit and Risk Committee.

Peter has extensive experience in leading global digital consumer businesses. He is currently the CEO of Flutter Entertainment plc having been appointed in 2018 following five years of experience as a non-executive director of Betfair and then Paddy Power Betfair. Prior to this Peter was CEO of Worldpay UK (an operating division of Worldpay Group plc) and Head of Global Innovation at Banco Santander, as well as a director of Santander UK Group Holdings plc. Peter’s previous experience also includes CEO of Travelex and senior positions at Lloyds Banking Group.
