Computacenter announces René Carayol to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Hatfield –  Computacenter plc (LON: CCC) today announced the appointment of René Carayol to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 1st November 2022.

“I am pleased to welcome René Carayol to our Board. He has had a long, successful, and varied career and his experience will be a meaningful addition to our Board team. I would also like to thank Rene Haas for the valuable contributions he has made during his tenure as a Non-Executive Director.” said Board Chair, Peter Ryan.

Concurrently, the company also announced that René Carayol Haas will retire from the Board on 1st December 2022.

About René Carayol

After leaving University, René Carayol joined Marks & Spencer where he worked for 10 years, including as a Senior IT Manager, before moving to join PepsiCo as IT Systems Director. He subsequently moved to IPC Magazines as CIO, staying with the business until it was sold to AOL Time Warner. René is now an experienced Executive Leadership Coach and broadcaster, with much of his recent work focusing on areas such as Diversity and Inclusion, Inclusive Leadership, and cultural transformation across large organizations.

In 2004, René Carayol was awarded an MBE for his outstanding contribution to the business community. He holds an undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Roehampton. René will serve as a member of the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
