– UK, London – City of London Investment Trust plc (LON: CTY) today announced the appointment of Ominder Dhillon to its Board as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 September 2021.
“Ominder has extensive experience of investment markets through his work in senior positions with a number of leading fund managers. My colleagues and I believe that he can make a valuable contribution to the Board of City of London and very much look forward to working with him.” said Board Chairman, Sir Laurie Magnus.
Ominder will also join the Audit Committee and the Nominations Committee.

Ominder Dhillon brings to the Board strong investment knowledge across public and private markets, especially regarding sustainable investing, sales and marketing expertise, and a good understanding of governance and risk management. He was, until January 2020, Global Head of Institutional Distribution at M&G plc. Before that, from 2011 to 2015, he was Head of Distribution at Impax Asset Management. He is a Trustee of UK charity, Facing History and Ourselves.
