– UK, London – The City of London Investment Trust plc (LSE:CTY), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert Edward (Ted) Holmes as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2018. Mr Holmes will also be a member of both the Audit Committee and the Nominations Committee.
Ted Holmes, CFA, joins the Board following a twenty year career at UBS Asset Management. During that time, Ted worked as a Managing Director in both the Chicago office (previously Brinson Partners) and London office (previously Phillips and Drew) in a variety of positions, from analyst to European Head of Equities. As European Head of Equities, he had management responsibility for equity investment teams across Europe, as well as corporate governance. Prior to UBS, Ted worked for Ernst & Young where he also earned his CPA license. Ted has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
