– BRAZIL, Porto Alegre – Campeao Lotto and Gaming Corp. (GXG: CLG) wishes to announce that it is expanding its corporate presence in Brazil by moving its corporate offices to Rio Grande do Sul.
Following the solid foundation that Campeao has established in Rio Grande do Sul with its Troco Torcedor Premiado lottery, Campeao is now focusing its efforts on expanding its lottery operations in Brazil. With this growth in mind, Campeao is moving its corporate offices to Porto Alegre, where currently all the Company’s business operations are.
The Company is closing its foreign corporate offices outside of Brazil.
The Company wishes to announce that Ralph J. Hofmann, a current director of Campeao, will now assume the role of President of the Company, effective July 15, 2015. Mr. G. Robert McIntyre will resign as President for health reasons, but will remain as a director of the Company. Mr. Hofmann has a diverse background in business administration and is well versed in Brazilian industry.
The Company’s lotto business has continued to strengthen in the Brazilian market, with growth of more than twenty percent over the last six months. The number of retail outlets selling the Campeao lotto tickets has steadily increased.
Outgoing President G. Robert McIntyre states that he is pleased with the Company’s advancement and progression over the last two years. “Since the start of building the Brazilian team, Campeao has built a solid foundation for our soccer lottery, and the Company is poised for further expansion into other states this year. The Company will also continue to look at opportunities to acquire other lotteries in the future. I am leaving the Company in good hands with Mr. Hofmann who resides in Brazil and understands the economy and the people of Brazil”
Campeao has a partnership with a soccer consortium and a distributor of point-of-sale terminals to market low cost, high volume lottery tickets. Brazil has a population of over 200 million and more than 12 million are fans of the two Campeao supported teams: Gremio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense and the Sport Club Internacional.
