– UK, London – Ascent Resources Plc (LON: AST), the onshore US-focused oil & gas company, announced the appointment of Jean-Michel Doublet as Independent Non-Executive Chairman and CEO David Patterson as an Executive Director with immediate effect.
About Jean-Michel Doublet
Jean-Michel Doublet was initially appointed to the Board on 21 November 2023 as an independent Non-Executive Director and, since 22 May 2025, has held the position of Interim-Chairman.
About David Patterson
David Patterson is an experienced oil and gas explorer and geologist with over 43 years of oil and gas experience onshore US, including several years in Utah and Colorado, most notably as VP Geology for Rose Petroleum Plc (now called Zephyr Energy Plc), where he led the evaluation of over 250,000 acres of leases in Utah. He held previous roles, including VP and manager of Exploration, VP of Geology, Supervisor of Reserves, and Senior Geological Engineer, through his career, and is based in Colorado.
