– UK, Kettering – Alumasc Group PLC (LON: ALU), the premium sustainable building products, systems, and solutions group, today announced the appointment of Independent Director Vijay Thakrar as Non-Executive Chairman, with effect from 1 January 2022, succeeding John McCall who will retire on 31 December 2021.
John McCall, current Board Chairman said: “I am delighted to announce that Vijay will succeed me as Chairman of Alumasc in the New Year. Vijay has substantial board and wide-ranging business experience from an impressive business and non-executive career covering several large international organizations, as well as extensive knowledge of the Group.”
Paul Hooper, CEO added: “I am looking forward to working with Vijay more closely, and the rest of the Board to develop and implement the Group’s strategy.”
About Vijay Thakrar
Vijay Thakrar joined the Board of Alumasc as an independent non-executive director on 15 January 2019. Vijay was previously a partner at Deloitte and EY before taking up several non-executive director roles. Vijay is currently a non-executive director on the Boards of Alpha FX Group plc, RSM Group, and Treatt plc and a member of the Audit & Risk Committee of the John Lewis Partnership.
