– UK, Edinburgh – abrdn Equity Income Trust plc (LON: CHI) today announced the appointment of Mark Little to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1 August 2022.
Mr Little will also join the Audit and Remuneration and Management Engagement Committees and will succeed Sarika Patel as Chair of the Audit Committee in February 2023.
About Mark Little
Mark Little began his career in the investment industry as a fund manager with Scottish Widows Investment Management after qualifying in 1991 as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse. He subsequently worked as Global Head of Automotive Research for Deutsche Bank and Managing Director of Barclays Wealth (Scotland and Northern Ireland), a position he held for eight years until 2013.
Mr. White, Chair said: “I am delighted to welcome Mark to the Board. With Sarika succeeding me as Chair and Mark succeeding her as Chair of the Audit Committee, we are now well prepared for my retirement from the Board in February 2023. I look forward to working with them to ensure a smooth transition.”
Mr. Little is currently a Non-executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Majedie Investment Trust Plc, Securities Trust of Scotland Plc, and BlackRock Smaller Companies plc. He was previously Investment Director of Seven Investment Management and a Non-executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Sanditon Investment Trust plc.
