– UK, Edinburgh – abrdn China Investment Company Ltd. (LON:ACIC) today announced changes to the composition of its Board of Directors, with effect from 1 August 2022.
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Bridgeman to its Board as an independent non-executive director.
The company also confirmed that Mark Hadsley-Chaplain will retire from the Board and as Chairman and will be succeeded as Chairman by current Senior Independent Director Helen Green.
Sarah MacAulay will be appointed as Senior Independent Director.
About Mark Bridgeman
Until 2009, Mark Bridgeman had a 19-year executive career in fund management at Schroders plc, as an analyst, fund manager and latterly Global Head of Research. Previous roles at Schroders included Head of Pan European Research, Head of Global Sector Research and an Emerging Markets Fund Manager. He is currently a non-executive director of Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc.
In the past five years, Mark Bridgeman has been a director of The Law Debenture Corporation PLC, BlackRock Emerging Europe PLC and JPMorgan Brazil Investment Trust PLC. He was Chairman of the Audit Committee for two of these companies, The Law Debenture Corporation PLC and JPMorgan Brazil Investment Trust PLC.
Mark Bridgeman will take on the role of Chairman of the Audit Committee.
