As CEO of AMG Lithium GmbH and CCO of AMG Lithium BV, Dr. Stefan Scherer is responsible for AMG’s downstream Lithium business and has over 20 years of experience in the specialty and fine chemical industries in various R&D, operational, and management positions, including periods with Albermarle and Rockwood Lithium/Chemetall, before the overall strategy development for its entire Lithium operations. After his studies in chemistry at the Technische Hochschule Darmstadt, Dr. Scherer completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Goethe University in Frankfurt in 1995. He has more than 20 years of experience in the specialty and fine chemical industries in various R&D, operational, and management positions, including periods with Albermarle and Rockwood Lithium/Chemetall, prior to joining AMG in 2019. Dr. Scherer is a German citizen.
