– UK, Dunstable – Whitbread PLC (LON: WTB) today announced the appointment of Shelley Roberts to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

Shelley has vast experience in the travel and hospitality sector, and in M&A, ESG and corporate transformation, which will be of great benefit to the Whitbread Board as we continue to deliver on our key strategic priorities”, said Board Chairman, Adam Crozier.
Shelley Roberts will also join the Audit Committee.
About Shelley Roberts
Shelley Roberts is currently the Group CCO at Compass Group PLC, where she is responsible for leading the Group’s Global Clients, Strategy, M&A, Health & Safety, Sustainability, Digital and Procurement functions. Shelley brings extensive strategic, commercial, and operational experience, having previously served as Managing Director of Compass Group’s Australian business. Before Compass, Shelley held leadership roles in several consumer-facing businesses in the travel sector including EasyJet, Tiger Airways, and Sydney Airport. Shelley has served as a non-executive director at Webjet Limited, a digital travel business listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, since 2016. She will step down from that position on 22 November 2023.
