Whitbread announces Board member Christine Hodgson as next Chair of the Board of Directors

– UK, Dunstable – Whitbread PLC (LON: WTB) announced the appointment of Christine Hodgson as Chair of the Board of Directors effective from 1st September 2025, replacing Adam Crozier, who will step down from the Board on the same date.

About Christine Hodgson

Christine Hodgson, who is also Chair of Severn Trent PLC, brings a wealth of experience, having held senior roles across the technology and consumer-facing sectors, working with multiple high-growth international companies.

Christine Hodgson is a highly experienced FTSE 100 Chair with a strong background in finance, technology, and sustainability leadership, and has worked in several consumer-facing businesses. Christine worked for Capgemini, one of the world’s largest technology and professional services groups, and held several roles, including CFO of the Global Outsourcing business, CEO of Technology Services North West Europe, and Executive Chair of Capgemini UK Plc from 2011 to 2020. She also served on the Capgemini Group Executive Committee and was the Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility.

A respected public company board director, she currently chairs FTSE 100 Severn Trent and Newton, a private consulting firm focused on strategic delivery and operational improvement. Christine served as the Senior Independent Director of Standard Chartered Plc until 2023.
