– UK, Swindon – WH Smith PLC (LON: SMWH) today announced the appointment of Situl Jobanputra to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 March 2024.
“We are delighted to welcome Situl on to the Board of WH Smith. With his extensive financial and property expertise, Situl will be a great asset to the Board.” said Board Chair,Annette Court.
Situl Jobanputra will also join the Audit, Nominations, and Remuneration Committees and the Chair of the ESG Committee.
WH Smith also announced that Marion Sears will step down from the Board with immediate effect.

Situl Jobanputra is CFO of Shaftesbury Capital PLC, having joined the company 10 years ago and served on its board since 2017. She is an experienced corporate financier, having previously worked in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, corporate broking, and real estate investment banking, latterly at Deutsche Bank.
