– UK, Gwynedd – Watkin Jones plc (LON: WJG) today announced the appointments to its Board of Alex Pease as executive director and Francis Salway as a non-executive director, effective from 10 October 2022.

Francis Salway will also join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
About Alex Pease
Alex Pease joined Watkin Jones in 2010 and was part of the team responsible for managing the flotation of the Company on the AIM market in 2016. In his role as CIO, Alex is responsible for the Group’s property acquisition, planning, and divestment activities. He is also a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to Watkin Jones, Alex worked within the Savills Residential Investment Team.
About Francis Salway
Francis Salway brings a wealth of property expertise to the Board. He was CEO of Land Securities plc, then the country’s largest commercial property company, between 2004 and 2012, having joined the board in 2001. Francis is currently a non-executive director of Cadogan Group Limited, which owns and manages the Cadogan Estate in Chelsea. He is also a Visiting Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics.
Francis was chair of Town and Country Housing Association from 2012, and following its merger with Peabody Housing Association in 2019, became a non-executive director of that organization until 2021. He was a non-executive director of NEXT plc from 2010 to 2021, latterly the Senior Independent Director, a past President of the British Property Federation, and former Chair of the Transport for London Property Advisory Group.
