– USA, WA – Washington Trust Bank today announced the election of Craig Dawson and Jinyoung Englund to its board of directors at the Holding Company board meeting held on April 26, 2021.

About Craig Dawson
Craig Dawson is the founder, CEO, and president of Retail Lockbox, Inc., which specializes in payment processing, online payments, digital image capture, and retrieval services, and financial reporting for customers. Before establishing the company in 1994, Dawson progressed through the ranks of Unisys Corporation, an information technology, and systems solutions company.
Dawson takes an active role in the community and seeks to lift people of color through educational and economic opportunities. He chairs the board of directors for the Washington Roundtable and influences diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Notably, in 2020, Dawson founded the Black Business Warehouse, a clearinghouse of information about Black-owned businesses aimed at connecting these firms with major enterprise businesses looking to increase their spending with Black-owned businesses. Further, Dawson serves as a member of the Resource Council for Rainier Scholars, which supports students of color on a path toward college graduation, and he is a past president of Tabor 100, a nonprofit focusing on economic empowerment and social equity for African-Americans.
Additionally, Dawson is the immediate past chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco-Seattle branch. He is a member of the Seattle Advisory Board for the Consulting and Business Development Center at the University of Washington Foster School of Business, and he is a member of the Rotary of Downtown Seattle.
Dawson is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Business Administration, where he concentrated in finance and marketing. He attended Pepperdine University after graduating from the Bush School in Seattle.
About Jinyoung Englund
Jinyoung serves as a Digital Service Expert at the Defense Digital Service, a SWAT Team of Nerds in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Department of Defense. She leads product teams in developing and implementing greenfield hardware and software solutions and advises senior military and civilian leaders on modern technology and security practices. Before her excepted service appointment to DDS, Englund was a Fellow with the Strategic Innovation Group at Booz Allen Hamilton.
Englund is a digital transformation professional of emerging technologies for both the private and public sectors. Englund served with the first venture-backed, fully compliant U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange and the first trade association for the industry that influenced today’s regulatory framework. She then became an international speaker on the political, economic, and social impact of blockchain and cryptocurrency and founded a consultancy specializing in providing strategic advisory services to fintech and cybersecurity startups on distributed ledger technology and digital assets.
Additionally, Englund is an alumna of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through which she is a current delegate to Mexico and a past delegate to Australia. She is also an alumna of the 32nd Young Leaders Program with the Council on the United States and Italy.
Englund is a candidate for the Public Leadership Executive Certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education, with a focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the future of national and international security. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and she is a U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholar.
